The West Lothian Council's Be Inspired: Active Document has just been released which details actions that will deliver the outcomes of the Active theme of the WLC Legacy Plan 2013 - 2019. Please click the image to view this document.
What is Legacy?
Legacy can be identified as being many things but is often referred to as a continuation of what already exists and/or what has recently been introduced. Legacy is about delivering a lasting change across the whole of Scotland. Given the wide range of Legacy programmes and initiatives this will mean different things to different people. To assist in the delivery of Legacy, national themes have been identified. Embedded within each theme are the five under-pinning principles of enabling diversity; ensuring equality; enhancing partnerships; encouraging community engagement and embedding sustainability. The four National Legacy themes are:
Active: Inspiring and enabling people to be more active
Flourishing: Promoting Scotland, enhance skills and support our businesses
Connected: Celebrating our culture and inspiring our young people to create and learn
Sustainable:Regenerating our communities and enhancing our environment
